Systems Designer

MY WORK

From prototyping networked monster abilities using Unreal’s Gameplay Ability System (GAS) to designing balanced asymmetric gameplay with an “easy to pick up, tough to master” counterplay focus, Inverse is a Quest 2 VR title inspired by the essence of Dead by Daylight, reimagined with systems tailored for VR.

KEY WORK

Drove gameplay balance and player experience design for a 4.2 star-rated multiplayer VR title release. 

Led design and prototyping of 7 character classes, 15 perks, 10+ GAS-powered combat abilities, and numerous animation systems.

 

Built and implemented Animation Blueprints to bring creatures and characters to life.

Developed a hand pose system for animations, enhancing first-person interactions and immersion.

Created counterplay mechanics for chase scenarios, including a door interaction and destruction system to add tactical depth.

Authored a Widget and in-game stat display, providing clear real-time feedback to players.
